About

Keith Parsons is CWNE #3, one of the first in the world to earn the Certified Wireless Network Expert credential. For 25 years he has worked in nothing but wireless, and in that time he has designed Wi-Fi in 100+ countries and logged close to 5 million miles in the air to do it.

The range is the point. Keith has built Wi-Fi from above the Arctic Circle to 800 meters underground in a diamond mine. Open-pit mines, coal mines, oil refineries, trains, boats, planes, trucks, shipping containers, intermodal yards, stadiums, hospitals, airports, hotels, offices, billionaires’ homes, and the top of the Empire State Building. He has worked across nearly every sector of the global economy, because everyone needs Wi-Fi. Along the way, he has taught over 10,000 students how to design and troubleshoot Wi-Fi.

Keith is the founder and Managing Director of Wireless LAN Professionals, Inc., and the founder and host of the Wireless LAN Professionals Conference (#WLPC), the vendor-neutral gathering he has grown across 30+ events worldwide over the past 12 years. His 2017 Churchill War Rooms talk on Wi-Fi design is the most-watched session in the WLPC archive, and the Wi-Fi design checklist he built is now embedded in a dozen-plus vendor apps, AP-vendor dashboards, and used to train vendors AI models.

He holds 117 technical certifications and an MBA from the Marriott School of Management, and he hosts the Heavy Wireless podcast on Packet Pushers. The throughline of all of it: fundamentals over hype, and Wi-Fi that just works.
